Not a car wash.
A wash removes what is sitting on the paint. Detailing removes what is bonded into it, then puts something back on top to keep it out. That is why a proper exterior job runs three pressure rinses and two snow foam baths before anyone touches the car with a machine, and why the clay bar comes before the polisher rather than instead of it. The difference shows up under direct sun about six months later.

What each job is
Three pressure rinses, two snow foam baths and a microfiber sponge wash between them. Rims, door jambs, plastic trim and tyre shine.
Chemical degreaser where it is needed, brush down, then a steam clean of the whole bay including the inner bonnet.
Wheels come off one at a time. Decon wash, clay bar, then a single-stage polish on both rim and caliper.
Glass chemical, microfiber wipe down, abrasive compound, machine polish across every window, then a buff up.
Full decontamination and clay bar, then one machine polish with a 3-in-1 high gloss compound. Finished with Labocosmetica quick ceramic detailer.
Heavy, medium and fine compound stages, only as many as the paint needs, then a high gloss sealant and Labocosmetica HPC two-year nano ceramic coating for 30% more gloss.
What it costs, by vehicle class
Motorbikes are washed and polished but do not take rim, engine-bay or glass work. Enhancement is a single-stage gloss polish; correction is the multi-stage job that ends in a two-year ceramic coat.

Surface cleaner agitated across every surface, dry vacuum of carpets and floor liners, then a steam clean throughout.
Everything above, plus a carpet decontamination chemical steam-brushed in and pulled back out with an extraction vacuum, then conditioned.
The full leather and fabric programme. Rapid cleaner, a two-hour leather conditioner soak, dye and friction blocker to stop clothing transfer, and a fabric protector that cures for twelve hours.
What it costs, by vehicle class
Motorbikes are not priced for interior work. Deep extraction is the wet job for seats and carpets; GEIST is the full strip-clean and protect.
