HOW THE SELF-HEALING WORKS
Heat. Sun on the panel or warm water over it, and minor scratches, swirl marks and scuffs level out on their own.
WHY WATER BEADS OFF
A hydrophobic top coat. Dirt and grime cannot get a grip, so washing takes less time and far less pressure.
WHAT 99% UV RESISTANCE STOPS
Fading, oxidation and sun damage to the paint underneath. Highveld sun is harder on a car than most places in the world.
WHY IT DOES NOT GO YELLOW
Non-yellowing technology in the top coat holds crystal-clear transparency for the full ten years. Films that yellow are films built without one.
WHY WE NEVER CUT ON THE CAR
Advanced pre-cut kits are made for your exact model. Cutting film on a vehicle puts a blade near the paint you are trying to protect.
Gloss, matte or full colour.
Shield Teck is not only clear film. Eight films, all protecting the paint the same way. What changes is what you see when they are on.
The top of the range. The top coat is elastomeric, which means light scratches and swirl marks close up again on their own once the panel gets warm — sunlight, hot water, or a heat gun if you are impatient. The film passes more than 99% of the light through it, so the paint underneath keeps its depth and its colour with no haze and no shift. Water beads at a 118° contact angle and takes the dirt with it on the way off, so the car stays cleaner between washes. UV stabilisers keep it from yellowing for the full ten years.
Turns gloss paint to a satin matte finish, with everything Diamond does still working underneath it — self-healing, hydrophobic, UV-stable, and the same stone chip resistance. Take it off whenever you like and the factory gloss is still under there, undamaged.
Flat black over whatever colour the car is now — white, silver, anything. Same protective stack as Matte PPF. The UV stabilisers earn their keep here: black films without them go grey. Reversible.
Mirror black over any base colour, with the factory paint completely intact underneath it. Self-healing surface, full UV and hydrophobic protection, ten years. Comes off whenever you want it to.
Gloss Black’s technology in a range of colours. A colour change with no respray and nothing permanent — and the paint underneath is being protected the whole time rather than sanded and sprayed. Every protective property is retained in full.
Carbon fibre, brushed metal and a range of custom textures. Only the surface layer changes; the stone chip and UV protection underneath is the same as the rest of the range. Reversible.
Headlights haze and yellow under UV, and that costs you light output before it costs you looks. HPF is an optically clear film, cut for your specific make and model, that takes the UV and the stone chips instead of the lens.
A chip in a windscreen usually turns into a crack, and a crack means a new windscreen. WPF spreads the impact across the film rather than concentrating it in the glass. Optically clear, no effect on what you can see through it. It is a sacrificial layer and it is meant to be replaced — which is why this one carries a year rather than ten.

Before the film goes on.
Contamination trapped under film lifts and bubbles later, which is why the prep is not the boring part of this job — it is most of the job. Iron fallout decontamination, clay bar, contact wash, paint correction polish, ceramic sealant finishing polish, an IPA wipe-down, steam through the crevices, edge prep, and only then the film, fitted by a certified Shield Teck master installer.

Every fit is registered digitally on the day it happens, so you can check your car’s status and how much cover is left yourself, any time, with the VIN check tool at shieldteck.co.za. You do not have to phone us to find out.
What it does not cover: damage from road debris, damage from poor maintenance, and ordinary wear. It also does not transfer if you sell the car.
WPF, the windscreen film, is the exception to the ten years — it carries one. It is a sacrificial layer and replacing it is the point of it.
